České Budějovice, 4th June 2018 – Beer from Budweiser Budvar Brewery’s production received two valuable awards in the 22nd “Beer of the Czech Republic” competition, as mixed beverage from beer “PardálOVO bezové” was awarded a silver medal and Budweiser Budvar B:DARK a bronze medal. The results were officially presented at the České Budějovice Exhibition Centre on the occasion of the Beer Festival on Saturday 2nd June.
“PardálOVO bezové combines the flavour and refreshing aroma of the elderflower in a balanced way, yet not suppressing its distinctive beer character and bitterness. Therefore, it is favourably received not only by men but also by women, and we are pleased that a third participation in this competition turned into a third medal,” says Budweiser Budvar’s PR manager Dr. Petr Samec. “PardálOVO bezové” was awarded a gold medal in last year’s “Beer of the Czech Republic” competition and a silver one in 2016. “Our dark lager was one of the first to bring a drier roasted flavour and more bitterness to the domestic market in the category of dark beers,” adds Aleš Dvořák, the author of the dark lager formula and Budvar’s sommelier.
PardálOVO bezové
“PardálOVO bezové” was launched on the market in 2013. Its development began in the laboratory of Budweiser Budvar in September 2011. In October 2012, initially 120 representatives of consumers were involved in fine-tuning the parameters of the beverage - including women for the first time, while the next phase saw nearly 1,000 of their friends and family members involved. “PardálOVO bezové” is a mixed beverage from beer. Made from Pardál Echt Pale Lager and quality syrup from elderflower without adding any artificial colouring agents and chemical preservatives, the beverage contains 2% alcohol and is supplied on the market in 0.5-litre cans.

Besides the Czech Republic, it is also sold in other countries, such as Germany, Russia, the UK and Finland.
