The head chef of the “Masné krámy” restaurant in České Budějovice is going to delight especially the fried schnitzel favourers this week. Besides two schnitzel dishes regularly on the menu, from Wednesday 19th March until Sunday 23rd March the restaurant is going to offer another nine other types of this popular dish, such as the king of all schnitzels - the Original Wiener Schnitzel made from veal rump, reversed schnitzel made from beef short loin or “B:ORIGINAL” fried cod in beer batter (the batter contains Budweiser Budvar Premium Lager).

“Fried schnitzels rank amongst the most favoured Czech meals. They come in many versions, as far as the ingredients used and the ways of preparing are concerned. Last year, the “schnitzel parade” proved to be a success, so we are going to repeat it this year,” says the “Masné krámy” restaurant’s head chef Luděk Hauser. For this year the “Masné krámy” restaurant is again planning many special thematic gourmet events, this year’s introduction being June’s “Exotica”. The next culinary event – “The trout season opening and Ramsons specialities” takes place from 16.4.until 20.4. 2014.
The restaurant offers not only great cuisine to its guests, but mainly perfectly treated drawn beer, particularly Budweiser Budvar Krausened Lager. The “Masné krámy” is the only restaurant in the world, where Budweiser Budvar Krausened Lager is drawn directly from beer tanks. The restaurant’s capacity is 200 places. This year, the “Masné krámy” restaurant celebrates two important anniversaries. On 13th February, it was 650 years from the moment when the Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. ordered the demolition of the original meat market on today’s Přemysl Otakar II. Square and its subsequent moving to Krajinská St. to today’s location.  The “Masné krámy” restaurant was open to the public on 1st October 1954, therefore nearly 60 years ago. The restaurant has always exclusively drawn beer from Budějovický Budvar Brewery.
