The sale of Samson Brewery is not a threat to Budweiser Budvar

As official public sources imply, Samson Brewery, joint-stock company was founded at the end of 2013 as a result of gradual channelling of assets from Budějovice Civic Brewery, joint-stock company, which has been owned by ABI since 2011, however not having been run by the concern. For that reason, the change in owner represents no risks to Budweiser Budvar in lawsuits with ABI.

“Our statement is based on actual experience gained after ABI taking over Budějovice Civic Brewery in 2011. The transaction did not decelerate the rise of our export sales in any way, nor did it affect the success rate of our lawsuits over the BUDWEISER trademark and our trademark standing at home and abroad was not harmed at all,”concludes Petr Samec.
