The limited edition of Budweiser Budvar Premium Lager has appeared in stores across the country. This time it is an interesting packaging innovation: a 1-litre bottle packed in an exclusive gift box. The original bottle design of the Champagne type is characterized by distinct plastic embossing showing the symbol of the town of České Budějovice, the Budweiser Budvar logo and the traditional Budvar symbol - a shield with the letter “B”. The embossing replaces the traditional label and the mandatory product information is printed on the cardboard packaging.
“One of the suitable opportunities to use our novelty is the ‘Neighbours Day’, which is celebrated at the end of May this year. The litre bottle is too big for one person, inviting us to share it with someone - maybe just with our neighbours. Besides, such a bottle can be used as a popular gift,” says Budweiser Budvar’s innovation manager Marek Honetschläger. The unusual bottles will certainly be of interest for collectors. Furthermore, the striking package will attract all those who seek a small gift for the host when visiting. A 1-litre bottle will be available in selected retail chains while the supplies last. The recommended retail price is CZK 149. Marketing support is planned only at the points of sale. The bottles will be noticeably visible in stores. The unique cardboard display, which serves as the transport packaging and at the same time as the stand for displaying the bottles directly in the shop, is going to be instrumental in that.
