Ústí nad labem

The original Budvarka Beerhouse was opened in the Tyršův dům in Ústí nad Labem. The foundation stone of the building was set in 1891; its opening ceremony took place two years later. The hitherto history of the house had been connected with sports. First, it was owned by The German Gymnastic Club, and then it was passed down to Sokol, after the abolition of which the house served various organizations. After the 1989 revolution, however, Sokol reclaimed the house and has stayed there ever since. From the very beginning, the building housed a pub, consequently, the name Budvarka is not a novelty for the locals – the beerhouse has born the name since 1967.
The restaurant is located in the basement vault and its seating capacity is almost 200 people. Sports events can be watched in the restaurant as there is a projector available. Most certainly, guests will enjoy the charming summer garden situated in the yard, and the non-smoking room.
