Awards
During its existence Budweiser Budvar has received a series of awards on the part of customers, as well as brewing experts in the Czech Republic, as well as abroad. One of the most important is the first golden medal from the Work Fair in Prague in 1896. This is followed by the “hattrick” triple two golden medals for the lagers Budweiser Budvar and special Super Strong in the competition World Quality Selections organized by the International Institute for Assessment of Quality in Brussels, Luxembourg and Lisbon in 1999, 2000 and 2001. Some of the domestic awards are, for example, nine Beer of the Year titles (1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006) for the lager Budweiser Budvar from the readers of the magazine “Pivní kurýr” (Beer Courier).

| 1996 | Milan, Giovanni Marcoro prize for the most progressively developing company in the food industry, agriculture, and the environment. The award is granted under the auspices of the Agricultural Commission of the EU. This prize is exceptional because it was the first time that this award was given to a company from a country outside the EU. |

| 2000 | Beer of the 20th Century. This poll organized, by Pivní kurýr, under the auspices of the magazine Kvasný průmysl (Fermenting Industry), involved important Czech brewing experts (research institutes, specialized schools and universities, master brewers from Czech breweries). Budweiser Budvar came top and was praised for its „excellent beer and great performance“. |
| 2000 | London, EURO 2000: Budweiser Budvar became the beer winner of EURO 2000 in a poll organized by the UK magazine Match of the Day. Individual “beer representatives” (Budweiser Budvar for the Czech Republic) were divided into the same categories as those for the upcoming European football championship and the competition used the same methods as those applied to EURO 2000. In the finals, Budweiser Budvar convincingly beat Italy. |

Prague, Beer of the Year 2006: Budweiser Budvar Pale Lager scored a winner for the ninth time in the opinion poll of the “Pivní Kurýr” (Beer Courier) magazine readers. |
| 2006 | Seattle, Brewers Association (BA) World Beer Cup 2006: A silver medal was awarded to Budweiser Budvar Pale Lager in this worldwide beer competition. 540 breweries from 56 countries entered their 2,221 samples for the competition, which were subsequently assessed by an international panel. Prague, Monde Selection: The Belgian International Institute for Quality Selections awarded Budweiser Budvar Pale Lager with a gold medal and Budweiser Budvar Dark Lager with a silver medal. London, CoolBrands: For 2006-2007, Budweiser Budvar brand was selected by an association of independent experts called Superbrands onto the prestigious British list of 94 brands, which are presently calling the lifestyle tune in Great Britain. Budweiser Budvar is the only Czech representative on the list. Humpolec, Dark Beer of 2006: Budweiser Budvar Dark Lager was awarded the “Dark Beer of the Year” title by the Beer Friends Association.
