České Budějovice, 15th December 2009 – Today at 5 p.m. the Masné krámy restaurant in České Budějovice is going to be home to the book christening of the “Famous Restaurants’ Tales” published by South Bohemian Publishers Rose. The texts were co-authored by the writer Jan Matěj Krnínský, actor Milan Šimáček and film director Zdeněk Troška. Being based to a considerable extent on authentic memories of those involved, the individual tales take place in 17 renowned Czech restaurants, pubs and taverns. The readers can see a disappearing world unfold, where restaurants were not only places to consume beer and food, but to meet other people while experiencing sometimes happy sometimes tragic human fates.

“One of the chapters takes place in the Masné krámy restaurant; therefore Budweiser Budvar’s representatives will be amongst the book’s godparents as well, namely the brewery’s business manager Robert Chrt and a long-term maltster Josef Tolar,” says Budweiser Budvar’s PR manager Petr Samec.

The book will appear on the bookshop counters this week with the price being CZK 290. There will be chance to get the book for a discount price of CZK 250 during the autograph signing.
