We feel responsibility
Budweiser Budvar National Corporation supports a number of activities aimed at the development of a sound mind and cultural outlook. At the same time, within the framework of its home region, the brewery feels it is responsible for those who are in need of help. Particularly, the support of Budweiser Budvar is directed at sports, charity, and last but not least, education.
Sport
When it comes to sports, the main areas of our attention are ice-hockey and cycling. Since 2003, Budweiser Budvar has been the official sponsor of the Czech ice-hockey national team, the fact that enables the brewery to use the slogan “Budweiser Budvar – the official beer of Czech ice-hockey” in its advertising campaigns. What is more, Budweiser Budvar is one of the important partners of the České Budějovice ice-hockey team.
Budweiser Budvar has also been cooperating with the Cyklo Team Budvar Tábor for several years now.
Culture
As far as culture is concerned, Budweiser Budvar’s main long-term activities are aimed at supporting the South Bohemian Theatre in České Budějovice – the only professional theatre in the Region of South Bohemia. Furthermore, Budweiser Budvar has long been sponsoring the International Music Festival in Český Krumlov.
The support to the region
Apart from the aforesaid sports and cultural activities, Budweiser Budvar has supported activities of small organizations in the Region of South Bohemia on a long-term basis. První Centrum zdravotně postižených Jihočeského kraje (The Centre for the Disabled in South Bohemia) is among the most prominent long-running beneficiaries of our financial support.
