Development of brewing
An automatic door with a steam engine chugging heralds the arrival of the Industrial Age. Come in and watch the history of beer brewing in the town in the latter half of the 19th and in the early 20th century. The establishment of the Czech Stock Brewery, now Budweiser Budvar, in 1895 became a milestone in the brewery‘s development. This was when the worldwide expansion of Budweiser beer began.

At the end of the 18th century brewering had been more involved in science. Thermometer, densimeter and another specialised gadgets started being used. The one to which it is worth paying attention is hectoliter scale by which was measured weight and quality of malt.

Science has been infiltrating the brewing industry since the end of the 18th century. Beer production started to use thermometers, densimeters, and other specialised devices. Another noteworthy instrument is the hectolitre scale, which measured the weight and thus also the quality of malt.
