Budweiser Budvar is investing into the purchase of material-handling machinery
This year, Budweiser Budvar, N.C. is going to invest into new Linde make material-handling machinery. The total investment will amount to CZK 6.5 million. The purchase is going to concern nine gas and electric high-lift stackers used when dispatching pallets with ready goods out of the brewery, handling the material around production lines or the storehouse, or loading and offloading beer in business centres. The investment will also include five low-lift stackers with the lifting capacity of 1.6 tons.
“We are going to purchase the total of fourteen pieces of material-handling machinery, which are going to replace the worn out 8-10 year old machinery, whose repair and maintenance have been very costly,” says Budweiser Budvar’s transportation department’s manager Vlastimil Němeček
This year’s Budweiser Budvar’s anticipated investment amounts to CZK 479 million, with the largest amount going into the construction of a modern warehouse worth CZK 87 million. Other finance are expected to e.g. increase the capacity of commercial centres within the Czech Republic, restore some machinery concerning the bottling lines and purchase new crates and kegs. In 2008, Budweiser Budvar, N.C. invested the total of CZK 282 million into the development of the brewery.
Main standards of Budweiser Budvar’s new material-handling machinery
H25T – a motor gas high-lift stacker with the lifting capacity of 2.5 tons, designed to dispatch goods out of the brewery. The stacker is equipped with the Kaup extending fork enabling handling two pallets
E15 – an electric high-lift stacker with the lifting capacity of 1.5 tons with a side-shift fork. The stacker will be used for handling material around production lines or the storehouse
H16T - a motor gas high-lift stacker with the lifting capacity of 1.6 tons with a side-shift fork. The stacker will be used for handling one pallet in business centres
T16 – a low-lift electric stacker managed by hand with the lifting capacity of 1.6 tons. The stacker will be used for distribution in the brewery and business centres

Budweiser Budvar, N.C. brewery has long been one of the most successful Czech foodstuff companies. Nearly half of its production is exported to more than 50 countries worldwide. Budweiser Budvar’s sales increased annually by 4.5 % in 2008, having reached the volume of 1,312,580 hectolitres of beer. The brewery’s 2007 gross profit annually grew by 13% onto the total of CZK 302 million. Since 1991, about CZK 3,500 million has been invested into the modernization and development of the brewery.
