3rd year of rock Budvar Fest on this Saturday

Budweiser Budvar, N.C. has prepared an interesting variegation of the forthcoming weekend particularly for rock fans, as the 3rd year of the music festival Budvar Fest takes place on Saturday 13th June from 1 p.m. - 11.30 p.m. The event will be once again held in the TJ Sokol car park in České Budějovice near the Indoor Swimming Stadium.

“Last year saw 1,500 visitors coming to the Budvar Fest; this year we would like to double that number,” says Budweiser Budvar’s promotional events coordinator Petr Klein. The total of nine musical bodies are going to perform in this year’s Budvar Fest, with the current stars of the Czech rock scene the Aleš Brichta Band and Doga band taking part along with international guests from Slovakia (Chimera) and Germany (Bionic Angel) with a horror metal show. Moreover, an additional programme is also going to be provided with some prize giving competitions and the chance to fun-cruise the blind stream branch of the Malše River in a motor boat.

Large beer tents with a capacity of 600 places will be available on the location in the case of unfavourable weather as well as for the visitors’ comfort. Besides the drawn and bottled beer of Budweiser Budvar and Pardál brands (including the alcohol-free beer), other refreshments for sale are going to be provided. The Budvar Fest entrance is free.
