Budweiser Budvar, N.C. modernised its internet presentation www.budvar.cz and at the end of August released its updated version. The graphics are still dominated by golden and red colours - the corporate colours of Budweiser Budvar. The new design makes looking up information and navigation on the website much easier. There is an interesting innovation - anyone interested may to take up a subscription of news from the “News” section. As far as the content is concerned, the website was extended by many new sections (e.g. Customer care, Tank system, The Masné krámy restaurant, How the beer is brewed, The appropriate care for the beer etc.).

“One of the key technical innovations is implementing the RSS technology, which enables the users take up a subscription of news from the News section via the RSS source. Anyone interested may thus have a non-stop briefing on new information published on our website,” explains Budweiser Budvar’s Internet Communication Manager Jakub Janoušek. This new option will be of great use to Budweiser Budvar’s fan community as well as its business partners.

The functions of navigation and looking up information on the website were also considerably improved. Website visitors can now get to the information they need much more comfortably and fast. The main website navigation is now simplified and transparent. The ‘search site’ box is newly placed in the right top part of the main menu and the search results are displayed clearly on an individual page. So-called breadcrumbs navigation makes movement and orientation on the website much easier, since the website visitor always knows which section is being viewed at that particular moment. The size of the writing can be changed therefore the website is more legible for visually handicapped users.

“We opted for a clear, moderate even minimal design, which does not have an intrusive appeal and thus provides the user with the chance to concentrate on the informational content. We wanted the user to find the necessary information as fast as possible and at the same time feel comfortable therefore great effort was put into that,” adds Budweiser Budvar’s PR manager Petr Samec. The website is available in Czech, English and German versions. The new look of Budweiser Budvar’s web presentation was supplied by Český Web, a.s. company and can be viewed at www.budvar.cz.
