Non-pasteurised Budvar will be drawn at the Iron Maiden concert
On 8th August the Iron Maiden band is visiting the Czech Republic within its "Somewhere Back In Time - World Tour 2008". After a year, the fans of this heavy metal legend group can thus enjoy its unique performance, which is going to take place at the newly constructed stadium at Prague’s Eden. The concert’s ambience will also be underdrawn by the presence of Budweiser Budvar, since it is the partner of this year’s concert as well as the exclusive beer supplier during the performance. The concert starts at 7 p.m.
“We are honoured to have become the partner of Iron Maiden’s concert; the partner of a band, which is extremely popular worldwide and a legend for Czech rock fans,” Budweiser Budvar’s PR manager Petr Samec comments upon this event. The popularity of the British heavy metal group has also been confirmed by enormous interest in the tickets sales, as they are nearly sold out at present. A sufficient volume of Budweiser Budvar non-pasteurised pale draught beer will be available for the visitors. “We have special equipment and particular drawing technology ready for such king-sized concerts. Non-pasteurised beer drawn directly from cisterns will make about 70% of the volume. A quality musical experience will be thus accompanied by beer of the highest grade of freshness,” adds Petr Samec. There will be 60 taps available for the concert’s visitors with 140 staff looking after them.
The Iron Maiden concert is not the only one this year, where music fans can meet Budweiser Budvar face to face. Amongst others, the brewery will be also the partner of the concert of the American band R.E.M., which takes place on 17th August again at the stadium at Prague’s Eden. Another musical performance will be organised for quality music fans by Budweiser Budvar on the occasion of the traditional Open Day in Budvar on 13th September, with many popular bands performing on two stages (e.g. No Name, Code Red, Wanastowi Vjecy and others).
The Iron Maiden Group prepared its "Somewhere Back In Time - World Tour 2008" on the occasion of the coming out of its concert DVD “Live After Death“. Apart from new songs, the band’s fans will be provided with a “trip” to the band’s history, aimed particularly at the 80’s - the “Powerslave Tour“ of 1984-85 and the key moments from the “Somewhere In Time Tour“ of 1986-87. This is not going to be Iron Maiden’s first visit to Prague as the group has been to Prague several times; the last time they performed here was three years ago.
