For the first time in its history, Budweiser Budvar Premium Lager ranked second among the best selling beer brands in the world's best bars according to this year’s "World's 50 Best Bars" list, as published by the British specialist magazine “Drinks International”, which organizes the list. The editor of "The World's 50 Best Bars" is Hamish Smith. The list of the best selling beers was created by inquiring in bars, which came in the 1st to 100th places in "The World's 50 Best Bars" list (ranking 51st -100th was not made public). Last year's export of Budweiser Budvar was the highest in the history of the brewery, as 813,000 hectolitres of beer were exported to 70 countries, which is annually 6% more.

The cider of the Danish brand of Somersby accomplished a double year-on-year increase of sales last year. Adding a new flavour to the existing product range and introducing sales in barrels along with the increase of sales outlets resulted in this triumph. The upward trend should continue this year as well. The sole importer of the SOMERSBY brand to the Czech Republic is Budweiser Budvar, N.C.

Last week the Czech and Moravian Beer Academy presented its Annual Awards to the most significant personalities of the Czech brewing industry. Budweiser Budvar, N.C.’s brewmaster Adam Brož, Ph.D. won in the category of “Breweries with annual sales over 500,000 hectolitres”. The family of Mr. Karl Jan Kolarik received the 2014 Annual Award for a long-term contribution to the Czech brewing industry. Their cult “Schweizerhaus” restaurant located in Vienna’s Prater draws the largest volume of Budweiser Budvar lager in the world.

Budweiser Budvar’s last year's export was the highest in the history of the brewery, as 813,000 hectolitres of beer were exported to 70 countries, which is 6% more than in 2013. Historically the largest sales volumes were achieved in two most important markets - in Germany and Slovakia. A significant growth was accomplished in some developed Western markets. In several countries the sales increased two to fourfold. In Russia, Budweiser Budvar achieved the highest volume since 2010, however at the end of the year, the export to this country virtually froze. The Ukraine noted an annual drop of 60%.

The Pardál brand has prepared for its fans as well as for anyone interested an online game called the “Pivovař” (“Beermaker”), which at the same time is the first Czech simulator of the brewery in the Internet environment. Besides being good fun, the game also has an educational function, as it shows the players how the beer is brewed, what ingredients are used and what problems can occur during the brewing.

In 2014, the number of Budweiser Budvar’s visitors increased by 12%. The brewery’s production facilities were viewed by 47,097 people from 77 countries. Most tourists came from Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria.
Pale lager Budweiser Budvar B:ORIGINAL was awarded a “Trophée de reconnaissance de qualité” in France
14.1.2015 České Budějovice
The Jura department’s council awarded pale lager Budweiser Budvar B:ORIGINAL with a prize for quality called “Trophée de reconnaissance de qualité”. The award was accepted by the brewery’s managing director Jiří Boček. At the same time, the prize constitutes an invitation to a trade fair of foods with the European protected indications, which takes place in Bourg en Bresse in March.

In 2014, Budweiser Budvar Brewery increased the volume of sold beer onto 1,424,000 hectolitres, accomplishing a year-on-year increase of 2.5%. The export in particular was instrumental in the good business results, as 813,000 hectolitres of beer travelled to 70 countries, which was 6% more than in 2013. The brewery’s sales grew year-on-year by 7%, thus reaching an amount of CZK 2,300 million.
